'Do you want to have a look at your face? You could do with a shave, do you know that? Don't you ever go out?' Lulu says to Stanley. 'Why don't you have a wash? You look terrible.' she asked 'A wash wouldn't make a difference' he answered.

'We heard that you kindly let room for gentlemen. So I brought my friend along with me. We were after a nice place, you understand. So we came to you. I am Mr. Goldberg and this is Mr. McCann'

'What's this?' Stanley asked 'It's your present' Meg answered happily. 'it's a drum. A boy's drum!'

'Do you like my dress Mr. Goldberg?' Meg is asking 'It is out on its own. Turn yourself round a minute. I used to be in the business. Go on, walk up there.' Mr. Goldberg answers.

'Haven't you ever played blind's man buff? Keep still Mrs Boles. You mustn't be touched. But you can't move after she is blind. You must stay were you are after she is blind. And if she touches you then you become blind. Turn around. How many fingers am I holding up?'
